ACR Ashdale Stove installed in Marple Bridge
During the course of our work as a HETAS approved installer of woodburning and multifuel stoves we completed installation of an ACR Ashdale 7KW cast iron multifuel DEFRA approved stove with direct air vent intake at a property in Marple Bridge. The work included the fitting of a Portuguese Limestone surround with chamber from the Penman Collection and a granite hearth.
Stove: ACR Ashdale 7KW cast iron multifuel DEFRA approved.
Surround: Portuguese Limestone surround with chamber.
Customer: Mrs A – Marple Bridge.
The Marple Bridge stove installation:
Following a survey, we recommended that a larger chimney pot be used to ensure that down-draft would be minimised. The old fireplace was removed and the chamber re-enforced with a stone lintel.
The chimney was swept to ensure that the flue was free of any debris prior to installation. We then installed a flexible liner using the highest grade 904 stainless steel to ensure extended lifespan.
Once the chamber was created, the hearth was laid down and the chamber and surround built around it. A core drilled hole was made in the rear of the chamber to accommodate a direct air intake from the outside straight into the stove, removing the need for a further air vent through the wall (when fitting a stove with an output above 5KW an air vent must be fitted).
The customer is delighted with the finished result.
