ACR Neo Freestanding stove in Bredbury
During the course of our work as a Stockport based installer of woodburning and multifuel stoves we completed an installation in a house in Bredbury. The project involved fitting a Twin Wall system through the roof of the extension of the property and fitting the stove onto a toughened glass hearth that we had cut to specification. The Neo has the advantage of three-sided glass window from which to view the fire, this feature is well suited to open plan spaces and has transformed this particular room.
Stove: 5 KW ACR 'Neo steel DEFRA stove.
Surround: Free standing
Hearth: Toughened glass
Customer: Mrs D of Redhill Drive, Bredbury.
The Bredbury stove installation:
The customer wanted to create a feature in the open plan extension to her property but did not have a chimney to use. The solution was to build a new chimney system using a 'Twin wall' construction in powder black coating. The Twin wall system is doubly insulated so that it is very safe and the outer wall will not become too hot. The system went through the ceiling and out of the roof and finished with a protective cowl. For the hearth, as the stove was already raised on a pedestal the customer chose a toughened glass hearth that was cut to the curve of the stove. With three glass sides, the fire can be seen at all points of the room, transforming the space.
The customer is 'delighted' with the result.
