ACR Earlswood stove installed in Sale Manchester
During the course of our work as a Stockport based installer of woodburning and multifuel stoves we completed an installation in a house in Sale. The project involved the removal of the old fireplace, the opening up and making good a new chamber, the fitting of a flexible liner and an Indian stone hearth. To complete the installation we fitted a deep Oak beam as a mantle. The mantle was chosen by the customer from our large rang of fireplace surrounds.
Stove: 5 KW ACR Earlswood multi fuel Defra stove
Surround: Oak Beam
Hearth: Indian Stone
Customer: Mr H of Dave road, Sale, Manchester.
The Sale, Manchester, Stove Installation:
The customer had heard of our work through a neighbour and wanted to creat a focul point in his living room. Th property was over 100 years old and we therefore did not know what state the brick work would be in when we knocked out the chamber. When we did so we noticed that the brick work was in a very poor state at the sides of the chamber but, with cleaning and pointing, could be made good at the rear. After discussions with the customer we therefore agreed to retain the rear brick wall as a feature and fireboard and plaster the sides.
The customer was very please with the rsult and said that he would recommend our work highly.
